Spur Meat Spice 200ml A balanced blend of herbs and spices specially selected to complement the unique flavours of meat dishes, Spur’s Meat Spice can be used as a seasoning rub or sprinkle on steaks, chops and ribs. Available in a 200ml shaker with a handy flip-top cap, Spur Meat Spice is suitable for vegans and contains no added MSG. Store in a cool, dry place and use within 6 months of opening. Rumaan's Barbeque Muffins Ingredients 1 kg lean ground beef 1 medium onion grated 2 celery sicks chopped 1 large egg plus a splash of milk, beaten 1 cup plain bread crumbs 1 Tbs Spur Meat Spice 200ml 1 cup Spur Barbeque Sauce 1/2 cup tomato salsa 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce Vegetable oil Instructions Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Put ground beef into a big bowl. Add onion and celery, egg, beaten with milk, bread crumbs and Spurs Meat Spice to the bowl. Next, mix together the Spurs Barbeque Sauce, the salsa and the Worcestershire sauce. Pour HALF the sauce mixture into the bowl with the ground beef mix. Mix the mixture together with your hands. Brush a 12-muffin tin with vegetable oil Use an ice cream scoop to help you fill meat into a each tin. Top each muffin with a spoonful of extra sauce. Bake about 20 minutes. Cut open 1 muffin to test that the middle is cooked through. Variations Serve meatloaf alone or with green beans or mashed Potatoes on the side. Cooking Tip Onions and celery can be grated or minced in a food processor and added. Alternatively: Savoury Mince Ingredients 15 ml (1 Tbsp) cooking oil 250 g lean beef mince 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 clove garlic, crushed Half a green pepper, finely chopped 1 small tomato, coarsely chopped 15 ml (1 Tbsp) tomato paste 60 ml (1/4 cup) Spur BBQ Sauce 3 ml (1/2 tsp) Spur Meat Spice 30 ml (2 Tbsp) fresh, chopped basil Instructions Heat oil in a small, heavy-based saucepan. Add mince and fry until colour changes. Add onion, garlic, green pepper and tomato and sauté until soft. Add tomato paste, Spur BBQ Sauce, Spur Meat Spice 200ml and basil. Simmer for a few minutes and serve warm on French toast or any other bread. Variations Add green or red papper, coarsely chopped. Cooking Tip To warm things up, replace Spur's BBQ Sauce wilth Spur's NEW Peri-Peri Sauce. Deilcious!
