Spur BBQ Sauce 300ml. Generously pour our BBQ sauce over any meal to give it that great Spur taste. Tangy and subtly sweet with the delicious smoky flavour you've come to know and love, this family favourite is a must-have pantry staple. Marinade meats to tender perfection or simply serve alongside chips, burgers, steaks, boerewors and chicken to provide a flawless finishing touch. Spur BBQ Sauce is available in a classic 375ml glass bottle, perfect for use on the table. Mushroom & Tomato Pâté Ingredients 15 ml (1 Tbsp) cooking oil 1 large onion, coarsely chopped 125 g button mushrooms, coarsely chopped 15 g sun-dried tomatoes (± 8), coarsely chopped 5 ml (1 tsp) sugar 125 ml (½ cup) fresh breadcrumbs 125 g cream cheese or smooth cottage cheese 15 ml (1 Tbsp) chopped fresh parsley or 5 ml (1 tsp) dried 45 ml (3 Tbsp) Spur BBQ Sauce 300ml Instructions Heat oil in a medium, heavy-based saucepan. Add onion and sauté slightly until soft. Add mushrooms and tomatoes and fry for ± 2 minutes until soft. Remove from heat. Add the sugar, breadcrumbs, cream cheese, parsley and Spur BBQ Sauce. Mix all the ingredients together in a food processor to a slightly coarse texture. Spoon out into small ramekins. Refrigerate for a few hours. Serve with Cheese & Herb Bread (page 10–11), Melba toast, crackers or health bread. Alternatively: Henriette's BBQ Chicken Pizza Ingredients Ready-made dough or pizza base Spur BBQ Sauce 300ml 1 cup of chopped cooked chicken Shredded mozzarella and smoked gouda cheeses red onion Coriander Instructions Use ready-made pizza bases or dough to save time. Layer the base evenly with Spur BBQ Sauce. Top the pizza with toppings in any order before placing into the oven Cook 1 skinless, boneless chicken breast and chop it up into large pieces or strips. If you prefer more chicken, feel free to add more. I like to toss the cooked chicken in a little BBQ sauce as well before layering the base with the Spur BBQ sauce; doing so prevents the cooked chicken from drying out. Add your cheeses and onion. Bake for 15min or until cheeses are melted or golden brown. Add some fresh coriander for flavour. (optional) ENJOY!
